A Mountain of a film fest

Townsville will be one of just 15 cities to host the first ever Australia/New Zealand leg of the Telluride Mountainfilm World Tour this March.

Held annually since 1979, Telluride Mountainfilm is one of America’s longest-running and best-loved film festivals; and showcases nonfiction stories about environmental, cultural, climbing, political and social justice issues.

Over its 38 years, the Festival has weathered many trends and fads, tackled countless issues and proven that there still exists a place for physical film festivals amidst a sea of digital content.

For more about this breathtaking festival, be sure to grab your copy of the first ever HUXLEY street press when it drops on 6 March.

Telluride Mountainfilm World Tour will screen at the Townsville Civic Theatre on Tuesday, 14 March 2017. Click here for tickets.
