Fast Track, known for being Australia’s biggest talent showcase, is returning to the Burdekin for its third year – and will be bringing some star power with it.

The event, a talent competition run similar to reality shows Australia’s Got Talent and X Factor, will be attended and guest judged by the latter’s 2016 winner, Isaiah Firebrace.

Event Coordinator Tammy Quagliata said the competition was a great opportunity for people of any age or experience level to showcase their hidden skills.

“This really is a family event for all ages, whether you’re in the audience or a competitor! We’re looking for all talent genres too – so whether you’re a singer, a dance group, a stand up or anything else, it’s a great chance to perform for a crowd,” said Tammy.

“It’s a really important event for the Burdekin, and a massive opportunity for anyone that competes with talent scounts from Isaiah’s management coming along to watch. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, because it will be the biggest audience a lot of these people have ever performed for. We already have entries from as far away as Mackay, and will obviously get a few from Townsville as well, which is where last year’s winner was from.

“There’s still a few spaces left if people want to enter, but the heats are filling up fast so it’s best to register soon. Ticket sales are also going well – obviously a few people’s family members are waiting to see if they make it to the final before they buy those tickets, but there are quite a few buying them early so they have good seats to watch Isaiah perform as part of the concert.”

Fast Track returns to the Burdekin Theatre on 1-2 April, and will feature 2016 X Factor winner Isaiah Firebrace. To register for the competition, email Otherwise, click here for tickets.
