Only a fortnight ago, we reported that four local acts had landed themselves in the Triple J Unearthed charts – and now, a local band has taken out the number one spot.
King Social‘s latest track Lemonade is now sitting at #1 after receiving more than 2,000 plays since being uploaded to the site a week ago; with Simmer Down, released a month beforehand, not far behind at #5.
North Queensland is well-represented in the charts this week, with King Social joined by the Sexicclesiastes (‘SEXIES’) sitting at #24 with Watermelon and #52 with AWAY!; Cardwell’s Bozza in #64 with For My Brother’s (sic); Townsville’s Blood Sport at #97 with Zombies ft. Theoutdoorz; and our friend from the Far North, Greta Stanley at #16 with Burden for Certain, #70 with Drunk Dreams and #81 with Lakes.
