Ingham’s TYTO Regional Art Gallery is celebrating the skills and diversity of artists across the state, with Shine – the Third Edition exhibiting at the gallery this March.
Gallery Coordinator Noel Mason said the exhibition was a chance for North Queensland artists to showcase work they love.
“We aim to give artists the chance to show the work that best portrays their practice – so there’s no central theme and you’ll find a mix of potters, photographers, painters, sculptors, and everything in between,” said Noel.
“This year we have artwork from as far South as Bowen, West to Charters Towers and North to Cairns, so it’s a good mix of local and regional artists with over 20 involved.”
Exhibiting artists range from beginners through to experienced professionals, such as Mission Beach wearable art designer Nina Dawson (pictured).
