Rock Fest’s New Test

The 2018 Townsville Rock Fest Gone Country will be 'country by day, rock by night.'

The Townsville Rock Fest will return with an all-new format this weekend, when Gone Country takes over Murray Sporting Complex.

Event Organiser Luke Wilson said the annual event would still include the show-stopping rock show audiences had come to expect but would also feature a lineup of country music headliners.

“Country music is a huge market that wasn’t getting the platform it deserves here in Townsville, so we thought why not bring the best of both worlds to our concert,” Luke said.

“Country music has certainly evolved so Troy Cassar-Daley and the McClymonts will certainly rock it on stage! Local rock band Bad Influence complete the lineup, giving audiences the ‘rock by night’ experience.”

Catch Townsville Rock Fest: Gone Country featuring Troy Cassar-Daley, the McClymonts, Judah Kelly, Homegrown, Tony Cook, Brooke Roberts, and a local rock band at Murray Sporting Complex on 27 October. For tickets, click here.
